Ed Tarrabain

Born and raised in Cold Lake, Ed moved to Edmonton for high school and to start his post-secondary studies. Ed studied sciences at the University of Alberta for two years before attending law school in the United Kingdom. Ed obtained his law degree from Lancaster University in the northwest of England.

While at Law School, Ed was heavily involved in the University’s Law Society, serving on the executive as a Social Director of Events and as a defender on the Law Society's soccer team.  Ed played for the men’s hockey team and was named a vice captain in his second year.

Upon completing his law degree, Ed returned to Canada where he secured a job as a litigation consultant with a law firm in Edmonton.  Assisting with the firm's civil litigation matters, Ed worked as a consultant for the year that it took him to complete the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) Process. Ed passed all seven of his NCA Exams on his first attempts and was issued a Certificate of Qualification by the Federation of Law Societies of Canada to render him eligible to gain admittance into the Law Society of Alberta.

Returning to his hometown, Ed joined Todd and Drake LLP as an articling student in October of 2018.  He intends to focus his practice in the areas of criminal and family law. Ed hopes to be an active member of the community, supporting youth sports teams and local initiatives. If he’s not in the office, you are likely to catch Ed in the gym or on the golf courses around town.  Ed is a proud member of Cold Lake's Lebanese community and is happy to serve his clients in English and Arabic.
