In 2021, Kelsey moved to Cold Lake, starting her civil litigation and family law practice with Todd & Drake in 2022. Since moving to Cold Lake, Kelsey has become involved in the community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Lakeland Humane Society.

Kelsey is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University in 2006. She then taught English in Japan for four years before returning to Halifax to work in provincial politics and as a paralegal at a labour and employment law firm. Kelsey obtained her law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2020.
Upon completing her studies, Kelsey articled as law clerk to the Honourable Justice Angela Furlanetto at the Federal Court, where she assisted on largely immigration and intellectual property cases. She then worked as Commission Counsel for the Mass Casualty Commission,
